Robin McCarthy is Principal at Ste. Marie Specialists, a nonprofit consulting firm focused on board growth, budgeting, development, strategic marketing and more for nonprofit causes. Ste. Marie Specialists’ maxim is Nonprofit knowledge for growth, because nonprofits matter.
She currently serves as the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce Chair. With a broad background in nonprofit work as well as partnerships with local businesses and elected officials, Robin brings a deep understanding of the business climate and unique community efforts.
Throughout her career, Robin has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit causes while enhancing the presence of each organization, including American Red Cross, YMCA, and local organizations Women At Work and Fire Family Foundation. As the Executive Director of Women At Work, Robin established important workplace development programs, like Training At Work and new technology programs aimed at helping women improve their employment prospects.
In addition, Robin spent five years teaching first grade in local Catholic schools. One of the greatest lessons learned from this role has been applied to all of the positions she’s held—that patience and heart go a long way in helping to make communities a better place.
Robin believes in community commitment. In addition to being the current Chair of the Chamber, a Board she has served on for more than 6 years, she is an active Rotarian, past Chair of the Pasadena Executive Director’s Roundtable, and a volunteer mentor for Jericho Road Project, helping other nonprofits grow.
